Plank to Mountain Climbers

Why it made the cut: This core strengthening exercise requires no special equipment and can be performed by athletes of all levels. It begins with a standard Plank and is immediately followed by Mountain Climbers. Dwight Howard performs the movement with his feet on towels. As he slides, his core works harder to keep his body under control. The result: a stronger, more stable midsection to facilitate boxing out under the boards and slashing through the lane for a dunk. Learn the exercise.
