Battle of the Brands Fantasy Football League Week One Recap
Week One action for the “Battle of the Brands” is in the books, and all four teams set the tone for what should be an exciting season of fantasy football. Here’s a recap of action from around the league.
Ray Rice Leads Team Nike to Late Rally Over Team adidas, 122-113.5
Rookie QB Robert Griffin III had one of the most impressive NFL debut performances in recent years, completing 19 of 26 passes for 320 yards and two TDs, racking up 29 points for Team adidas. However, Ray Rice picked up a team-high 24 points Monday night to bring Team Nike back from a 15-point deficit.
Team Under Armour Holds Off Team Reebok, 120-112
This matchup also went down to the wire, only Team Under Armour was able to sustain a 16-point lead after Team Reebok’s Antonio Gates scored just eight points in Monday Night Football action. Team Under Armour overcame a slow start by Cam Newton (18 points) with solid contributions from offensive stars Arian Foster and Julio Jones.

3. Peyton Manning, Team Reebok
The elder Manning proved to be the right man under center for Team Reebok by posting 24 points in his NFL return.
2. Robert Griffin III, Team adidas
RGIII led the Battle of the Brands with 29 points in Week One. Not bad for a rookie QB making his NFL debut.
1. Julio Jones, Team Under Armour
Julio has arrived. The second-year man exploded for 108 yards on six receptions and scored two TDs.
