STACK partnered with Niche to rank the top 50 men’s college basketball programs of 2015. The rankings factor in NCAA tournament success, game attendance and student opinion. Since teams can get hot during the NCAA tournament and skew the rankings, we also look at historical data to determine programs that have a history of success.
There’s a reason schools like UCONN, Duke, Kansas and Michigan State are at the top of the list. Although they may have a down year every now and then, they are all led by coaches who have established a culture of success. When choosing a school, don’t make your decision based on recent NCAA tournament performance. Rather, take a long look at the coach and the school’s athletic culture.
