Connect With NFL Athletes on Gridiron Grunts
Ryan Nece, three-time Tampa Bay Buccaneers team captain and a member of the Super Bowl XXXVII championship team, has created a new app, designed just for pro athletes and their fans: Gridiron Grunts.
Available for iPhone and Android, the app is a communication platform for players to speak directly to their fans. Fans can receive authentic, unfiltered voice messages on their phones directly from their favorite players.
A “grunt” is an audio message that’s up to 45 seconds long, sent to your phone via push notification. No SMS text or email message notifications are required to hear a grunt.
Gridiron Grunts is free to download, and you can subscribe to specific players’ channels. So far, more than 30 NFL athletes are grunting, including rookies Randall Cobb and Christian Ponder. The app is updated whenever athletes create new grunts.
One feature, called “The Huddle,” allows a fan to grunt back to an athlete; then the athlete can grunt back to the fan personally. Fans want to know what their favorite athlete is thinking, but not every athlete gets an interview after the game. Gridiron Grunts lets fans to hear what their favorite athletes have to say even when the media ignores them.
You can also use the app to grunt to other friends by connecting Gridiron Grunts to your other social media accounts, such as Facebook and Twitter.
