EA Sports MMA Preview
Next week, EA Sports will enter the MMA world for the first time with its mixed martial arts game for the PS3 and 360. EA Sports MMA launches on October 19, 2010.
Although several mixed martial arts video games are already available, EA Sports MMA, in its virtual ring debut, looks to compete for the title of best fighting simulator.
MMA features a vast array of personalities, including world-class fighters Fedor Emelianenko and Randy Couture. Legends Frank Shamrock and Dan Henderson, along with international stars Shinya Aoki and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, are showcased as well. Each fighter will use his distinct fighting style, as if he were in a real-life MMA event.
But what really sets this game apart is online EA Sports Live Broadcast, a feature that enables gamers to broadcast their fights across the world. Viewers can watch and listen to live commentary, study potential future opponents and learn, just like in real life, what it will take to win. Gamers will also have a chance to fight for real prizes and online titles.
In addition to the fame and glory achievable with EA Sports MMA’s online features, athletes with a large crew can create their own personal fighting tournament without having to drive to someone’s house and hook up multiple TVs. Learn which of your buds is the real fighter in the group and who needs to hit up the virtual gym harder.
