Christian Bale Leads an All-Star Cast in 3D Adventure ‘Exodus: Gods and Kings’
The 3D action adventure epic Exodus: Gods and Kings stars Christian Bale as Moses in a Ridley Scott film that brings one of the Bible’s most compelling stories to life.
The movie shows how Moses stood up to his brother-turned-enemy, Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses, head of a mighty empire, in order to free 600,000 enslaved Israelites who famously escape from Egypt. The powerful storyline combined with state-of-the-art special effects and 3D immersion work together to create a truly inspiring motion picture.
Cast in the role of Ramses is popular Australian actor Joel Edgerton, whose recent films include Zero Dark Thirty and The Great Gatsby. Also starring are Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), John Turturro, Sigourney Weaver and Sir Ben Kingsley.
In a recent interview from Comic-Con which appeared on Collider, Kingsley talked about Exodus, saying: “It’s an extraordinary story, and Ridley is going to make it so modern. He’s going to make it tangible and completely about us.”
After helming memorable action films like Blade Runner and Prometheus, as well as historical epics like Gladiator, Scott seems a natural choice to direct this type of film. As he did for many of his other films, Scott is also producing this one.
The screenplay was written Steven Zaillian (Money Ball) from a screen story by Tower Heist writers Bill Collage and Adam Cooper.
Exodus: Gods and Kings will arrive in theaters nationwide on Dec. 12.
