Few athletes have the ability to fire up a team—any team—like legendary Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis.
Before the Stanford Cardinal men's basketball team took the court in the NIT semifinal against UMass at Madison Square Garden earlier in the week, Lewis visited with the players in the locker room and got them pumped up to play.
Known almost as much for his pre-game (and post-game) speeches as for his hard-hitting style of play, Lewis must have hit a nerve with the Cardinal. Stanford not only beat UMass in the semis, they ran Minnesota off the court in the NIT finals, winning the championship game by 24 points.
Take a listen to Lewis before your next workout and see if he inspires you to crank out a few extra reps.
