The PC version of GTA V has a new release date, and not surprisingly, it’s a few weeks later than the previously announced dates. The long-awaited and oft-delayed title was originally slated to arrive Jan. 27 and then March 24. Now Rockstar says the game will come on April 14.

The extra time will allow them to apply more polish and ensure “that both “Heists” and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC.”

Conscious of the long wait gamers have endured to get their hands on the game, the developer promises fans won’t be disappointed by the work they have put in to create the game. “The PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is our most graphically and technically advanced version yet, fully optimized to support a broad range of current hardware, and features a host of PC-specific enhancements, including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support, as well as the powerful new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging and editing original custom videos,” wrote Rockstar in a post on their official website.

In return for their patience, gamers who pre-ordered GTA V will receive an additional $200,000 in in-game cash for GTA Online. This means a gamer could walk into the game with as much as $1.5 million in loot just for pre-ordering before March 9.
