Jamie Foxx Joins Big Screen Drama ‘Blink’
At this year’s Cannes Film Festival, it was announced that Jamie Foxx will star in the big screen heist drama Blink. The Oscar Award-winning actor will play a hospital caregiver who must nurse a mysterious bank robbery victim. The two develop a close relationship, but it eventually becomes clear that the caregiver has ulterior motives.
This movie marks a return to more serious material for Foxx, who was featured in several prominent comedies last year, including Annie and Horrible Bosses 2.
Director Noam Murro, of the action fantasy blockbuster 300: Rise of an Empire, is set to direct the picture.
The 2014 Black List script was written by Hernany Perla, who is making his feature film screenwriting debut with this project. Although Perla has done some television writing for series like Sequestered, he is really best known as a producer, with credits that include My Bloody Valentine and the Arnold Schwarzenegger flick The Last Stand.
Producing the film for Atlas Entertainment are William Green (Idlewild) and Aaron Ginsburg (The 100).
Blink is expected to begin production this fall.
