Thanks to Reebok’s new commercial, fans are hyped for John Wall’s latest signature shoe—the Wall Season 3: ZigEscape. The commercial was filmed in Wall’s hometown of Raleigh, N.C., and it focuses on the player’s move towards full recovery.
“What does it take to make it?” asks the Washington Wizards star player in the ad’s voice over. “It takes support. It takes staying grounded. It takes inspiration, hard work, drive. What does it take to make it? I’ll let you know when I get there.” (Watch John Wall reflect on his early lessons in motivation.)
Despite the knee injury that has sidelined Wall for the first few weeks of the season, Reebok has continued to push forward, hoping that their guy—the #1 pick of the 2010 NBA Draft—will eventually become a major player. At this point, there is no timetable for Wall’s return. In his absence, the Wizards are struggling mightily.
In addition to the new commercial, Reebok also released a series of teaser videos in which Wall is seen bouncing a ball between closing elevator doors, just in time to jam them.
