Jordan Brand recently unveiled Dwyane Wade’s latest signature shoe at a Holiday 2011 preview event on Nike’s campus in Beaverton, Ore. Like the CP 2’Quick and the new Melo M8, the Fly Wade 2 is replete with high-tech performance elements.
The Hyperfuse construction on the upper is cut slim and close to the foot, in response to Wade’s desire to make the shoe as light and form-fitting as possible. The internal heel pad locks the foot in place, the molded sock liner adds comfort and perforations on the shoe keep it as light as possible.
The Fly Wade 2 also features full-length Lunarlon cushioning, ideal for explosive players like Wade. But it’s light on personal touches—the main one being the D-Wade logo on the tongue. Jordan Brand’s focus for the Fly Wade 2 was definitely on performance.
The first two colorways are scheduled for release on Dec. 7. Look for a White/Varsity Red/Black colorway in January 2012 and a Black/White in March 2012. Visit jumpan23.com for more details.
