Originally schedule to debut on Kevin Durant's feet during the 2016 Summer Olympics, the Nike KD 9 arrived ahead of schedule to make its first on-court appearance during Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals last night. Durant dropped 33 points while rocking the "Cool Grey" KD 9 as the Thunder trounced the Golden State Warriors by 28 points.
The KD 9 features a grey upper with a pink outsole and pink accents on the eyelets and heel. Durant wrote the word "smile" across the toe box of each shoe.
We got the full scoop on the KD 9 back in March when Nike displayed it for the first time at its Innovation Summit in New York City. It's the first Durant model to feature a Flyknit upper, something Durant has wanted for a long time. Zoom Air pods cushion the soles, making it Durant's most radical signature model to date.
The KD 9 drops June 20 and will retail for $150.
