NCAA Rules & Regulations: Contact Periods
For high school athletes in every grade, an unofficial visit is an effective way to meet a college coach; but be aware of the NCAA rules prohibiting coaches from making in-person contacts during certain specific dates.
Maximize your chances for a face-to-face meeting by choosing to visit during a contact period. Use the guidelines below to determine the days that coaches are permitted to talk to you during an unofficial campus visit for the remainder of 2010.

August 1 — December 19
Soccer
No dead/quiet periods until beginning of 2011
Women’s Volleyball
August 1 — November 7
November 12 — December 14
Men’s Basketball
August 1 — November 7
November 12 — December 23
Women’s Basketball
September 16 — November 7
Cross Country/Track and Field
August 15 — November 21
