The old saying, “If you look good, you play good” may sound cheesy, but Northwestern is hoping that it holds some truth this coming football season.
The Wildcats, traditionally a doormat in the B1G, are the first school in the conference to wear uniforms produced by Under Armour. This will be Northwestern’s first season under the new agreement.
Under Armour made several noticeable updates to both the material and the design of the new Northwestern gear. Perhaps the biggest visual change is the horizontal stripe running across the jersey. Northwestern was the first school to feature a stripe as a design element, so UA decided to include a similar stripe across all the school’s uniforms.
If you look closely, you’ll see some of the brand’s inspiration for the uniforms in the lettering and numbers. Take a look for yourself in the pics below.
