Peyton Hillis Stars as Texas Ranger to Promote Website
It’s been said that Chuck Norris’ chief export is pain. If that’s the case, he can expect business to slow down this fall, because there’s a new sheriff in town: Peyton Hillis of the Cleveland Browns.
That’s right, the Madden NFL 12 cover boy has donned the duster coat and cowboy hat for a video spoof of the classic 1990s action crime drama, Walker, Texas Ranger, which starred a strapping Norris portraying “a modern-day Ranger who believes in the Code of the Old West and is a martial arts expert,” according to his Wikipedia page.
Old West meets martial arts combat? A strange combination, indeed, but Hillis himself is something out of the ordinary: a hulking running back—he’s listed at 6’2”, 250 pounds—who hurdles defensive backs, tightropes sidelines and pulls in one-handed catches. Parallels do exist.
