Never Miss A Call With Signal Fan
Understanding your coach’s instructions is essential in any sport. A runner on first needs to be able to look across the diamond and see which play the third base coach is calling. Basketball players can’t execute a play if they can’t hear their coach’s call over the din of the crowd.
Teams can improve their communications, and players can never miss a call with Signal Fan.
Signal Fan ($24.99) contains six blades, each a different color. When coaches coordinate their plays with different combinations of blades, it adds a visual component to coach-player instructions. The Signal Fan’s simplicity makes it easier for players to know exactly what the coach is calling and make it happen on the court or field.
Signal Fan has been a hit with coaches and athletes who’ve adopted it. South Lake Tahoe softball coach Steve Kolesnik uses it to flash signs to his players on both offense and defense. “We covered bunt, fake bunt, steal, hit and run, who covers second on a steal, and first and third defense,” says Kolesnik, adding that the first game they used Signal Fan was the first time in two years they played without a missed sign.
