Last week, University of Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd posted a video of himself running on an incline treadmill at 19 mph. That's impressive, but he recently accomplished something even more spectacular.
Hurd had a huge sophomore season, running for 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns. He uses his explosive speed (he runs a 4.47 40-Yard Dash) to blow by defenders and his 240-pound frame to power through them when necessary. His combination of size and speed makes him one of the deadliest backs in college football.
This off-season, Hurd has been a complete monster in the gym. He just posted another treadmill video in which he tops 19 mph and runs 23.1 mph. If Hurd keeps this up, he will be contending with LSU's Leonard Fournette and Stanford's Christian McCaffrey for the Heisman.
