Action/fantasy thriller The Adventurer: The Curse of the Midas Box tells the riveting story of fearless 17-year-old hero Mariah Mundi in 19th Century London. Mundi's mission to save his family leads him into a dangerous world of dark magic. Following the disappearance of his parents and the kidnapping of his younger brother, he sets out, with the help of adventurer Captain Charity, to unravel the mystery of their whereabouts. Through a series of clues at the lavish but sinister Prince Regent Hotel, he discovers a bizarre hidden realm of monstrous villains, potentially fatal secrets and an ancient artifact that brings limitless wealth as well as supernatural destructive power. The fate of his world and his family rest on Mundi's ability to uncover the curse of the Midas Box.
Promising young Welsh actor Aneurin Barnard plays Mundi. Michael Sheen (The Twilight Saga) plays the strange and illusive Captain Charity. The cast also features Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey and veteran actor Sam Neil, whose recent work includes the Sylvester Stallone flick, Escape Plan.
