The NBA Will Use Awesome Twitter Emojis for Fan All-Star Voting

Forget Valentine's Day. It's NBA All-Star weekend. And this year, fans can vote for the MVP.

NBA All-Star Game Emojis

NBA All-Star weekend starts today, so forget about Valentine's Day and make sure to watch your favorite basketball players strut their stuff. Tonight features the Celebrity Game. The Saturday lineup is slightly different from prior years, starting with the D-League All-Star Game in the afternoon, followed in the evening by the new Skills Challenge and the two marquee events—the 3-Point Shootout and the Slam Dunk Contest. The 65th All-Star Game takes place Sunday evening, with coverage beginning at 7 p.m. on TNT.

One of the best things about the All-Star game is that fans get to vote for the MVP. Last year the award went to Russell Westbrook. This year the NBA switched the voting process to Twitter. To vote, tweet #KiaAllStarMVP + #FirstNameLastName = All-Star MVP Vote. Once your vote is received, an awesome emoji representing the player you selected will pop up.

A few of our favorite emojis from the West are Anthony Davis's eyebrow and DeMarcus Cousins' ghost with a headband. And from the East, Paul George's PG-13 movie ticket and LeBron James's royal crown. Check them all out above.
