Warner Bros. Built a Space Jam 2 Training Court for LeBron, and It’s Incredible
When Michael Jordan was filming Space Jam in the summer of 1995, he refused to tone down his training despite the busy shooting schedule.
This led Warner Bros. to construct an inflatable dome on their studio lot in Burbank, California that contained a gym as well as a full-sized basketball court. It was dubbed the “Jordan Dome,” and countless NBA stars stopped by at one point or another that summer to play in fiercely competitive pick-up games.
Fourteen years later, the filming of Space Jam 2—with LeBron James replacing Michael Jordan as the lead—is underway. And it appears Warner Bros. has again constructed a special court for the movie’s star athlete (as well as the several other NBA players sure to appear in the film) to utilize during shooting:

Talk about hooping with a view. The court, which is on the estate of NBA superfan Jimmy Goldstein, was formerly a tennis court before being converted into this basketball nirvana. Suffice to say, James is excited about production finally rolling on the long-awaited sequel:
Man this really just hit me! I’m really shooting Space Jam 2!! This is so surreal and doesn’t even make sense to me! Where I come from man and what I saw growing up this doesn’t add up to me! ! I’m truly grateful and beyond blessed. This is CRAZINESS.

The Space Jam 2 cast includes players like Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson and Chris Paul, so some serious talent could be squaring off on this court in the coming weeks.
