When you work your core, you strengthen your entire midsection. If you work hard enough, you can build steely abs, and your core can improve your athletic performance.
Russian powerlifter Kowtyn Igor has the core of, um, a powerlifter. In a video on his Instagram, Igor can be seen working out on a playground ladder, hanging on a bar and seemingly walking in mid-air. Along with his strong core, Igor shows off tremendous upper-body strength, which allows him to maintain a horizontal position on the ladder, hanging on by only his hands.
