Watch Amar’e Stoudemire Truck an Israeli Basketball Player With the Dirtiest Screen Ever
Last August, after retiring from the NBA, Amar’e Stoudemire signed a two-year deal to play for Hapoel Jerusalem in the Israeli Basketball Premier League. Though the 34-year-old could no longer perform as a force in the NBA, that didn’t mean he couldn’t do his thing overseas.
The six-time All-Star is bigger and stronger than most of his opponents in the Israeli Premier League, and if a challenger forgets this, the 6-foot-10 center will forcefully remind them. During a game against Maccabi Rishon LeZion, Stoudemire got upset with an opposing player. So during a subsequent offensive possession, he decided to truck the life out of the smaller player by setting an illegal screen.
According to the tweet below, since Stoudemire is a lot bigger than his opponents, they tend to foul and cheap-shot him incessantly. May this be a lesson to anyone who cheap-shots him next time.
Apparently Amare Stoudemire plays in Israel now and opposing teams always cheap shot/ foul him bc he’s huge so he just went and did this.pic.twitter.com/tCDloh5G02
