This is an awesome story.
Eastern Michigan football has been really bad for a really long time. Prior to this year, the Eagles hadn't recorded a winning season since 1995. They hadn't been to a bowl game since 1987. They went 1-11 last season. The program has struggled so much that there were talks of the school dropping football altogether as recently as last spring.
But this season, something amazing happened. The Eagles played good football and ended up with a 7-5 record, making them bowl eligible. This morning, it was revealed to the team which bowl game they'd be participating in. Check it out:

Ypsilanti, Michigan—where EMU's campus is located—is not a warm place. Especially in December. The fact that these guys not only get to go to a bowl game but get to go to the Bahamas is a great reward for all their hard work.
