Yoenis Cespedes Just Spent $7,000 on a 270-Pound Pig at the County Fair, For Some Reason
The spring of New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes continues. Clearly having tired of driving a new, expensive car to spring training each day—he actually rolled in one day on a horse—Cespedes decided to spend his money elsewhere. Specifically, at the St. Lucie County Fair near Port St. Lucie, Florida, where the Mets train.
Cespedes dropped a cool $7,000 to take home the above 270-pound prize-winning pig, for reasons unknown to anyone but Cespedes—but probably to eventually eat it.
Cespedes already sent his $7,000 pig to the butcher.

And, yup, it looks like that process is already happening. It’s being reported that Cespedes recently dropped his hog off at the butcher’s. He can probably expect a call, or a visit, from PETA in the near future.
