Young Thug Releases ‘1017 Thug 3 (The Finale)’
Young Thug has released the final mixtape in the 1017 Thug trilogy.
The 13-track opus features three guest artists—Gucci Mane, Young LA and MPA Duke—and production from the likes of Metro Boomin’ and DJ Mustard. It’s the second release in Gucci’s reported eight albums coming out during the latter half of this year. But it’s still unclear whether the two frequent collaborators are on good terms. Thugga didn’t promote the mixtape via his social media channels, and he’s remained silent on whether any of the releases are songs he previously recorded or new material.
He hasn’t been so quiet about giving props to other artists on Instagram, however. Recently, he’s begun referring to many of them in unusual ways. In a picture featuring him with Rich Homie Quan, he referred to the Atlanta rapper as his “hubbie,” leading some to question his sexual orientation. Adding fuel to the fire, he uploaded a video from a recent performance featuring Cash Money’s Birdman and called the mogul his “lover.” Thus far, he has released no statement to clarify the posts. Of course, there’s always the chance that he could just be trolling everyone, and it’s nothing more than an attempt to make headlines.
