First Look: Nike's New NFL Uniforms

April 3, 2012

New Nike NFL Jerseys

Earlier today at an NYC media event, Nike unveiled the 2012 NFL uniforms, updating the look, feel and technology of the gear that the league's best will wear next season. STACK was on hand to capture the first look of the new apparel.

Nike's history of innovation in sports performance apparel was obvious—there was even a mention of "aircraft-grade aluminum" in the team belts. All 32 teams will feature Flywire technology in their uniforms, making them lighter than previous mesh versions. In addition, fans will note the use of a new four-way stretch material, which is even worked into the numbers on the jerseys. This will allow players to move without being restricted, as will a new cut on the jersey sleeves.

As for the look? The Seattle Seahawks got the complete overhaul that was rumored, opting for a dark blue color, what appears to be a matte finish on the helmets, and a winged neon green design on the shoulders and on a stripe running down the side of the pants.

Here are a few more exclusive shots from today's Nike NFL event.
