At Super Bowl XLVII, Pittsburgh Steelers dietician Leslie Bonci talked to STACK about the importance of Gatorade products for athletes who want to supplement their workouts.
Bonci said that meals are typically eaten a few hours before a practice or a workout, but the body needs to be refueled during long periods of intense exercise. If athletes don't feel like eating a lot because they know they have a tough workout ahead of them, Bonci recommends using Gatorade chews or drinks to keep their bodies fueled.
Bonci talks about the importance of “parenthesizing” your workouts, meaning supplementing them on the front and back end. This is where Gatorade’s products come in to play.
