4 Ways You Can Add Protein Powder to Your Diet

Try these different and tasty ways to consume your daily protein.

Protein powder is a great way for athletes to get the protein they need to build and repair their muscles. The most common ways to use protein powder are out of a shaker or a blender, but that can get boring. STACK talked to sports dietician Leslie Bonci to find out more ways an athlete can consume protein powder.

4 Ways You Can Add Protein Powder to Your Diet

1. Orange Juice

Mixing protein powder in your morning glass of orange juice can be a new way to get your daily protein. If you have vanilla protein powder, try putting it in your O.J. It will taste like a Creamsicle or an Orange Julius.

2. Peanut Buttera

Mix chocolate protein powder with your peanut butter for a taste like a Reese's Cup—definitely better than a plain old protein drink. Mix the protein and peanut butter and spread it on some toast. It's a great new way to get your protein.

3. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is a terrific source of carbohydrates, but it lacks protein. Add some protein powder to your oatmeal and you'll have an excellent carb/protein combo.

4. Pancakes

Another thing you can add protein powder to is pancake mix. Instead of plain pancakes, you will have high protein pancakes that taste great.
