David Carmichael a native of Scotland, earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Notre Dame College in 2007 and a master's degree in education from Lake Erie College in 2011.
Carmichael played soccer for the NAIA nationally ranked Notre Dame College of Ohio Falcons, Cleveland State University Vikings and Northwood University Timeberwolves. At Northwood, he earned All-Conference First-Team and All-Midwest Region First-Team honors in 2004.
Carmichael is also a former professional soccer player with Greenock Morton Football Club in Scotland and member of the U18 Scottish National squad.
