Watch James Harrison Shoulder Press 100-Pound Dumbbells Six Times
Certified heavy sweater James Harrison will almost certainly be the oldest linebacker in his division if not the entire NFL should he choose to return to the league next season, but he isn’t showing his age in the weight room. By the looks of his Instagram account, the Steelers’ weathered battleship is training absurdly hard this off-season, routinely performing lifts that most mortals would never dare attempt.
His latest feat of strength? Performing a Seated Arnold Press with 100-pound dumbbells in each hand. The move challenges the muscles in the upper back and shoulders, which will help Harrison deliver the huge hits he’s known for. (And in case you’re wondering, yes, the Arnold press is named for Arnold Schwarzenegger.)
[instagram src=”https://www.instagram.com/p/BDYOlaJpFmL/”]Harrison has also been on a social media tear lately, making sure the world sees him carrying the equivalent of your car down a football field or deadlifting your refrigerator. And the linebacker apparently also wants you to know that even though he weighs 275 pounds, he has six-pack abs. Not many people can say that. But then, not many people train as hard as Harrison.
