Who’s Got Game: Shaun White Snowboarding
You might not live near snowcapped mountains to grind down all winter, but that doesn’t mean you have to sit dormant. Snag a copy of Shaun White Snowboarding and join the Olympic Gold Medalist on slopes from Colorado to Japan, without ever leaving your crib.
Shaun White Snowboarding [Ubisoft] Systems: PS3, Xbox 360, Wii
Release Date: Nov. 16
Overview: Known the world over, Shaun White put snowboarding on the map—and now he’s putting it in your hands. Become part of Shaun’s crew and travel the world to compete in tournaments, freeride down unexplored paths and perfect your tricks. You can even give the master a run for his money.
System -Exclusive Features
Balance Board [Wii]: The only way you’d get a more true-to-life experience from this game is if you filled your house with snow and ramps. Jump on the Balance Board and use your own feet to control your direction, speed and the level of your tricks, all while dealing with the weight of the mountain pushing back on you. Once you master tricks, your crew will dare you to take on a whole mess of events, from the half-pipes and big airs to rail jams and slaloms.
Next-Gen Technology [PS3, 360]: The game is driven by physics, not animation, which means total freedom and a unique experience with every ride. Intuitive dual-analog controls let you customize and nail your own tricks, and realistic non-player character interactions let you perform Shaun-inspired stunts, like hiking to secret spots, creating your own routes or filming your friends’ tricks and runs.
Universal Features
The Shaun White Experience: Not only is the game infused with Shaun’s style and experiences, but he serves as your mentor by introducing you to new locales, giving you tips to tweak your skills and taking you on, head to-head in competition.
Whole Crew Gameplay: On the Wii, you and up to three friends can take on the mountain as a team or compete against each other. PS3 and Xbox get virtual, as you can hook up online with your friends or other players to compete in parks or navigate down a gamer-packed mountain.
