Fuel Up With Blueberry Banana Pancakes

As most of us know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day—and one of the most frequently skipped.

The excuses of “no time in the morning,” “don’t want to wake up earlier to eat” and “running late” are simply unacceptable. Skipping breakfast is like driving without gas in your car. You need to eat breakfast to fuel your day and function properly. And waking up your metabolism with a morning meal is vital to reaching your performance goals. Eating breakfast not only provides more energy and strength for your workouts and practices, it helps you focus in the classroom.

The following breakfast recipe from The EZ Whey Cookbook is easy to make, tastes great and fuels your body with essential protein and carbohydrates.

Blueberry Banana Pancakes

Ingredients:
1/3 cup oats
4 egg whites
½ banana
¼ cup berries
½ scoop vanilla protein
Dash of cinnamon

Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a blender. Spray a pan with nonstick spray and heat it up. Pour a small amount of batter for each pancake into the pan and cook evenly on both sides. Top with berries or banana slices.

Protein: 36 grams
