Joel Smith

Joel Smith is a strength and conditioning coach at the University of California Berkeley, and a track and field coach who works with youth athletes in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to coaching, he is the owner of Just Fly Sports, an online learning community for optimal sport and human performance. As an athlete, he carries a High Jump personal best of seven feet; and he's spent over a decade researching and testing development methods specific to vertical jump training. He is the author of the leading standard texts on vertical jump training, "Vertical Foundations" and "Vertical Ignition."
